Robert Bateman is a vastly experienced and long-serving professional photographer on the Industrial and Corporate photographic scene in Ireland. His work is widely acclaimed and his client list includes many of the most well known names in the business area.
The photographic work of Robert Bateman encompasses a variety of specialist areas. He has always been to the fore on the corporate front with his architectural images, many of which have featured in prominent publications. His vast industrial portfolio has captured milestone images for clients in sectors ranging from manufacturing through to road construction. His progress photography has recorded many of the landmark developments in Ireland from pre-start through to completion. One of his major such projects was four years of work on the Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork. The pharmaceutical sector has always played a major role in his brief and, here again, Robert lists the most prominent company names in Ireland in his clientele. His sensitivity as a photographer and painstaking attention to detail was called on while working on the wreckage of the Aer India disaster that occurred off the Irish coast. Robert's marine photographic experience is legendary. Having served for many years as official photographer to Verolme Cork Dockyard, his archives of marine activity in Ireland span some 30 years. This outstanding material has featured in Time Magazine and, more recently, in The Harbour series on RTE.

Robert Bateman Industrial Photography has been providing an aerial photographic service for many years. Over the period, the service has grown from flights covering the Munster area to the island of Ireland, Britain and various European venues including Italy, Germany, Belgium and France.
While the subject matter of Robert's aerial work is very varied, the core industrial area focuses principally on construction and development projects. Notable projects in this portfolio include the Jack Lynch Tunnel, University College Cork developments, Cork University Hospital extension projects, Cork Airport Development and major by-passes serving the towns of Watergrasshill and Youghal.
